This spot has been around for a long time, but someone just reminded me about it. One of my favorite bands of all time, The White Stripes did a commercial for one of the world’s biggest brands, Coca-Cola. It aired on Australian TV. How did the Aussie’s get so lucky? The UK got a little taste too according to the notes on YouTube.
This commercial is one of the best I’ve seen out of Coca Cola. —It’s imaginative, playful, engaging and visually stunning.— At about 1:40, its probably too long for American TV, but they should have gone more viral video with it. Why not use it for more video marketing applications and get more bang for the buck? Maybe Jack and Meg White didn’t want to come off like sell outs. I’m sure they made some bling for it as its an original song. I don’t know if they wrote it, but I would assume so, or maybe better stated, I hope so….
