I read this morning that Google is closing down Picnik, their image editing tool. But that’s not really the right way to phrase it. It’s actually just being moved (or rather it has moved) to Google +. Isn’t everything. In this post, I’ll show you the basics of Creative Kit.
Creative Kit in Google plus has a wealth of tools you should check out. Here is a partial listing (some of my favorites).
- Crop
- Rotate
- Scale
- Exposure
- Contrast
- Color
- Saturation
- Sharpen
It also has all kinds of fun and goofy effects and decorations, so if you want to add that speech bubble or put a fake moustache on your friend or colleague, Google’s Creative Kit has you covered.
My only complaint is where is the red eye correction tool with creative kit. not that I ever take photos with red eyes 🙂
BOTTOM LINE
This is a great add on tool for easily enhancing your photos on the fly without spending a dime on photo tools like Photoshop Elements or even photoshop. Check it out on your Google Plus account.
